Childbirth Education

Many care providers strongly recommend childbirth education clients to their clients, whether they are pregnant for the first time or the fifth time. Childbirth education classes prepare the mother and her birthing partner by providing information about pregnancy, comfort measures, basic nutrition, the phases of labor, and care of a newborn.

Classes are held weekly over a period of 8 weeks and each class will focus on a specific aspect of pregnancy, labor, and the postpartum period. Some topics to be covered are:

  •  Nutrition
  • Comfort measures such as counter-pressure, rhythmic breathing, position changes, etc.
  • Visualization
  • The phases of labor
  • Signs of labor
  • And more!

As a childbirth educator, I am passionate about helping my clients feel prepared and empowered to birth in the way that best suits their needs.
